Natural History Remixes: Part 1 from Blu Mar Ten, designed by ithinkitsnice, is is available to buy now on vinyl and digital download from all the usual places.

Blu Mar Ten have just announced the release of their Natural History Remixes: Part 1, which I created the artwork for.

The vinyl features reworkings by Seba and Bop, while the digital download features an additional remix by the wonderful Badmammal from San Francisco.

For the build up to the release, Blu Mar Ten also asked me to create some animated titles and visuals for the Youtube previews of the tracks.

Part 2 in the series will be announced in the coming month.

Copies of Blu Mar Ten‘s new album ‘Natural History’ finally arrived, so I’ve added these pics to the rest of the work I have done for them.

The CD comes in a card sleeve and includes a 6 page roll-fold booklet and one art card, while the double vinyl comes with printed inner-sleeves and an A1 poster.

I just (actually last week) delivered the artwork for Californian ‘dreamy electro-acoustic indie pop’ band Lovespirals‘ fourth studio Album, entitled Future Past.

The artwork for the 6-panel digipack is made up from a mixture of hand rendered and digital type set alongside the photography of Susan Jennings.

Eco-friendly Lovespirals naturally insisted on green (not just the colour) packaging; the digipack is printed on 100% recycled stock with 100% recycled plastic trays, printed with vegetable-based inks and coated with water-based biodegradable varnishes, provided by Groove House Manufacturing in California.

Like a million other designers I collect examples of typography that I find by photographing them. Sometimes what grabs my attention is amusingly bad and sometimes it’s genuinely great.

I’m not holding this up as work; I only stumbled across these. But I’ve got a lot of pictures and I’m going to post a few examples at a time that I think are worth sharing. Enjoy.

Sleeve and label artwork for the new Blu Mar Ten 12″, Close b/w Above Words is signed, sealed and delivered. The single will be released on vinyl and digitally hopefully before the end of the month on April 6th.

The digital release also features an exclusive third track called If I could Tell You which is quite special.
