A Removed Amount
A Removed Amount was a collaborative performance-drawing artwork by four Glasgow based artist-designers. It took place in Tramway in December 2006 as part of their Freespace project.
For one working day of 8 hours a pencil line will be simultaneously drawn and erased within a space. Four artists will work in pairs and in shifts to ensure the process is not interrupted. The process will be documented in video and once completed will be re-presented as a projection. The work presented is the process. There is no end-product other than the documentation of the process. The process is effort and work-done within a given time.
